Boyd Bailey

Acupuncture Consultant & Practitioner

My life revolves around the integration of ancient Chinese medical practices into modern healthcare. Since earning my Masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 1997 from the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, I have continuously sought to deepen my understanding and skills. Licensed to practice in North Carolina, I hold a Diplomate in Acupuncture.

My extensive training spans various traditions, including Traditional Chinese Medicine and Japanese and Korean acupuncture. As a certified Toyohari practitioner and skilled in Shonishin pediatric acupuncture, I cater to diverse patient needs. Serving as an acupuncture consultant for Wake Forest Baptist Health’s Center for Integrative Medicine has allowed me to contribute to medical academia and research.

My involvement in a National Institutes of Health-funded clinical trial on acupuncture's effects on menopausal hot flashes marks a key milestone in my career. Practicing QiGong and TaiJiQuan for over two decades, I use these disciplines to enhance patient care. I also indulge in Chinese calligraphy and share my passion on social media.
